Job posting: Youth Pastor at ARK cph

About ARK cph

ARK cph is a growing international church located in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. We are a Pentecostal church and part of the Pentecostal network Mosaik, which collaborates internationally with Assemblies of God. We are a church that gathers all generations and nationalities from around the world.

The congregation consists of approximately 60% Danes and 40% internationals, and this multicultural community is reflected in the church: Our services are held in both Danish and English with live translation on stage, and our evening services are conducted in English.

We have two services every Sunday—morning and evening—as well as a dedicated children’s service. We gather around 500–700 people for our morning services and around 150 in the evening. In addition, we have a strong children’s ministry that attracts approximately 150–200 children and adults every Sunday.

ARK cph is in a season of growth, and we are seeing both believers and seekers joining our church. We believe this growth will continue, and that more Copenhageners will find faith. That’s why we are currently equipping ourselves and our organisation to embrace all that we believe God is going to do in our church.

Our vision is: To see waves of people experience life transformation through the love of Jesus.

This vision permeates everything we do—and as a youth pastor, you are a key player in making this vision come alive for teenagers and young adults.

About the role

We are looking for a youth pastor who can think big and still see the individual person. A passionate leader with both direction and relational care at heart. You are able to set a clear course for a growing youth ministry and dream big about what it can become. At the same time, you care deeply for each young person—their lives, questions, and faith.

You burn to see young people grow in faith—not just on Sundays, but in everyday life. You know it takes patience, courage, and presence to build something that lasts. And that’s exactly what you want to be a part of: shaping and leading a youth ministry that is inspiring, sustainable, and relevant for the next generation.

You’ll be stepping into a church with momentum and big ambitions—one that prioritises and invests time, focus, and resources in children and youth. This means you won’t stand alone, but become part of a culture and a team where your work is prioritized and supported.

You will be responsible for:

  • BLAZE – teenage ministry (5th–9th grade, approx. 30 teenagers per time) – Instagram
  • Bible class (7th–8th grade)
  • ACT – church services and fellowship for 16–25-year-olds (approx. 100 young people at a time) – Instagram
  • Social events, the young adults conference Presence and life groups for young adults
  • Pastoral responsibility for the age group and for ensuring transitions and continuity from “betweenager” to young adult

You will report to Executive Pastor Julie Osias. You will be responsible for a full-time youth leader and 2–4 interns (volunteers of 15 hours/week).

Your profile

  • You love building church and have a strong calling to work with youth
  • You have experience in youth ministry and preferably in growing or developing youth environments in a larger church context
  • You are adaptable and thrive in a high-paced environment where there’s often a short distance from idea to action
  • You work strategically and can communicate vision in a way that resonates with your audience
  • You know how to inspire and engage volunteers and have demonstrated experience doing so
  • You naturally take responsibility and initiative
  • You are a strong communicator—both on stage and in one-on-one conversations
  • You are theologically grounded

You are expected to speak and write fluent English. It’s a plus (but not a requirement) if you also speak Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish.

What does your week look like?

  • Tuesday–Thursday, most of our staff and interns work at our newly renovated office on Nørrebro in Copenhagen.
  • Sunday is generally a full workday with both morning and evening services.
  • Approximately 2–3 evenings a week typically include activities (clubs, meetings, services) that you’ll participate in.
  • We offer a high degree of flexibility throughout the week, with good opportunities to plan your own schedule and work from home.
  • Monday and Saturday are typically days off.

Why is this opportunity unique?

  • You will be a central figure in a church with clear vision and strong youth focus:
ARK cph has a clear ambition to be a church for all generations—and especially for the next generation. Youth ministry is not a side activity, but a strategic priority. You’ll be a key person in a time where a solid foundation is laid, but much is still to be shaped and developed.
  • You’ll have freedom and trust to shape and build:
You won’t be stepping into something fixed. There’s room for your ideas, creativity, and leadership. You’ll have the mandate and support to set direction and create structure—in collaboration with leadership and your team.
  • You’ll be part of a young and passionate staff team:
The ARK cph staff is marked by engagement, energy, and collaboration. There’s a short path from idea to implementation and a culture of cheering each other on and sharing both responsibilities and victories. You won’t just be hired to do a job—you’ll be a vital part of the community.
  • You’ll have access to coaching, support, and meaningful development:
You won’t stand alone in the leadership task. You’ll continuously have opportunities for personal and professional development—including access to national and international networks, conferences, and resources that strengthen you in your ministry.
  • You’ll get to witness faith and community transform lives—week after week:
What we do makes a difference. Week after week, you’ll see young people take steps of faith, find a home in the church, gain courage to face their everyday life, and experience that God is real and near. This is not just a job—it’s a calling that brings meaning and leaves a mark.

We look forward to hearing from you
